One of the things I look for when buying gadgets are promos that give you additional gadgets when you buy. And I don’t mean those buy 1 get the other 1 at half the price promo coz I know some stores are actually pulling your leg since they’ve jacked up the price in order to cover for the price of the “free” or “half-priced” item. However, if the promo is from the manufacturer itself, you know you got yourself a deal. One of the companies that regularly dishes out promos is Nikon. Right now, they have a Nikon ATB Promotion wherein you can get a promotional gift card with up to $50 value when you buy a Nikon ATB Binoculars, so it’s sort of a rebate. Promo period is from July 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008.

Other companies that regularly offers similar promos is Sony and Samsung. Of course, you have to buy from authorized dealers in order to avail of the promos.
