The 17 inch laptop

Because of the HD revolution, laptop computers have changed. It used to be, the smaller the laptop screen the better since laptops are supposed to be portable, right? Well, HD has changed that, particularly Blu-ray. Because of Blu-ray's crisp and clearer pictures, watching Blu-ray movies or HD content is not that satisfying when viewed on a measly 10 inch or 12 inch laptop. The standard 14 inch laptops also wouldn't do because the screen size is still not large enough to appreciate HD content. Enter the 17 linch aptop.

Like what laptopadvisor says on his 17 laptop guide, 17 inch laptops offer the best of both worlds. It's still the right size to be portable but large enough to appreciate HD. Almost all manufacturers offer 17 inch laptops but if you want to have a portable Blu-ray media centre, then Sony's laptops are the way to go. However, if you're on a budget, HP and Dell also have their own 17 inch laptops which are only under $1000.

So, is the 17 inch laptop for me? Well, though I appreciate HD, I still prefer my laptops to be small and portable as possible. That's why I'm in love with netbooks rightnow. I still believe that HD is best enjoyed in the comfort of your own home theater.
