With the advances of technology nowadays, there would come a time before we will no longer need these supplies in our offices.

Paper Shredder – With all office communications being coursed through emails and very soon, even contracts can be done electronically, paper shredders would soon be a thing of the past.

ID cards – Companies are utilizing more high tech ways of identifying their workforce. Biometrics scanning machines are being employed such as fingerprint readers, retina scanners, even DNA scanners. There are also embedded RFID chips that some companies employ so very soon, you won't be seeing anyone wearing IDs and with IDs, ID lanyards would also be a thing of the past, of course, there are other uses of lanyards, like holding your mobile phone for example.

Printer Ribbons – Anything with ribbons would also soon join film cameras in the obsolete department. Some offices still use printer ribbons for their electric typerwriters and those who uses ID card printing machines but with technology such as laser printing, we would see less printer ribbons in the office in the near future.
