MWC 2009: Samsung Omnia HD

Well, the Mobile World Congress has started a few days ago and one of the highlights of the show is the Samsung Omnia HD or Samsung i8910. I have to admit, the Samsung Omnia HD left other mobile phone manufacturers in the dust in terms of specifications. Samsung has never been afraid of scrimping their devices in terms of feature. Take a  look at the first generation Samsung Omnia which, as Samsung promised, contains EVERYTHING.

The Samsung Omnia HD seems to deliver that same promise but this time around, it has a bigger and badder 3.7 inch OLED capacitive screen, higher camera resolution at 8 megapixel with all the extra camera goodies such as flash, geotagging, face detection, autofocus, etc, and get this--720p HD recording!!! The Samsung Omnia HD is actually like a small HDTV right on your fingertips.

I personally can't wait till this device comes out. Another one of the changes on the Samsung Omnia HD which some consumers are torn about is the OS. While others preferred that the Omnia HD be a windows mobile based device, other welcome the change to Symbian OS. Let's just see how this one turns out.
